This beautiful Smoky Quartz with green Tourmaline is from the legendary Mount Mica in Oxford County Maine!

It consists of a 3.5 inch wide quartz crystal with a partial coating of tan Cookeite as well as several green Tourmalines encased in the bottom of the quartz. The Cookeite has several casts of tourmaline crystals which dissolved away inside the pocket, which is an interesting feature. The quartz is mostly milky but has more clear sections and a smoky "halo" around the outside and has several internal rainbows. The termination is sharp and several of the faces feature elestial growth patterns. A beautiful specimen from a sought after Maine locality!
