Offering an Armspear Steel Guard railroad lantern that was made for an unknown railroad. On the top of the lantern are several patent dates, but it's difficult to read them because of the paint over them. One year seems to be 1898, but I can't say how accurate that is. This lantern is only the frame, and does not include a globe, burner, or bale. Please examine the photos as they show exactly what you will receive.

This lantern measures approx. approx. 10.5 inches tall and 7.5 inches wide.

We are not experts with these types of lanterns but try to offer as many details as possible. It shows typical wear from age and handling. It appears that it has been painted over the years. There are some scuffs, scrapes, dings, and dents but nothing significant unless otherwise noted. The top has a hole in the center that was punched through at some point. Some light rusting is present. Please examine our photos for a better look at the lantern condition, and feel free to ask any questions you may have.
