Swatch x MoMA

swatch was founded in 1983 and began with the introduction of 12 Swiss-made quartz movement watches that were water and shock resistant and featured fun color combinations.

The name "swatch" is a shortened form of "Second Watch" which is an easy to enjoy watch.

Made of only 51 parts, swatch watches are meant to be another option for everyday accessories.

Three of swatch's products are in the MoMA collection and have been featured in the 2017-2018 exhibition "Items: Is Fashion Modern?" and the 2004 exhibition "Humble Masterpieces.
