This is Chippy the original V8 302 5 liter 2 door Comet. Reason I call him Chippy is because of his aged appearance. All his chips and scratches give him character. Original California blue and yellow license plate car. If you’d like to view the car before the auction is over you are welcome to. If you can’t, I’ve uploaded over 50 pictures and a well detailed video below. In the video you will hear the motor from top to bottom, full walk around and much more. This engine has its original exhaust, carb, valve covers, air cleaner with the 302 badge. As you can hear in the video the engine doesn’t knock. no misfire. Runs strong. Taking the time and watching the video is well worth it. Transmission does have a slipping issue. It takes a minute to engage into drive, It does also tend to slip out of park into reverse. But as you can see in the video it does run and drive. Brakes are good. Tires are good. It had some front suspension work done. No frame damage. It does have lots of potential. As you can see it does need paint and upholstery attention. Overall this is a minor project car that needs some love. There isn’t a lot of v8 2 door comets out there especially at no reserve.
