PLEASE NOTE: TO SEE ALL PHOTOS. PLEASE VIEW FULL DESCRIPTION, AS WE TYPICALLY POST UP TO 24 PHOTOS. We are pleased to offer this rare antique Chinese vanity set circa 1920’s. The set is composed of a hand mirror, brush, and comb. The hand mirror is constructed of gold over copper. The back of the mirror is set with a large oval cabashon agate, along with 20 various semi precious stones. The gilt copper repousse decoration depicts Chinese good luck symbols, and bats flanking each side of the carved agate handle. The decoration on this piece is very detailed and ornate. The mirror itself has a small round spot at the bottom, where the silvering has worn, but otherwise this piece is in excellent condition. The hand mirror measures approximately 8 1/2” long X 4 1/8” at widest point. The brush is similarly decorated, set with 15 colorful semi precious stones. It is in excellent condition, and measures approximately 7 1/8” long 1 7/8” wide X 1 1/2” high. The comb is set with 12 semi precious cabashon stones. The teeth of the brush are carved horn. A portion of the comb has a double row of teeth for very fine hair. There are a couple of broken teeth on the double row, and some teeth have chipped tips (in no way affects the integrity of this piece), otherwise excellent condition, measures approximately 6 3/8” long X 1 3/8” X 3/8”.
