We are very pleased to offer this great looking Dan Patch Tobacco tin for this listing. This is a box style tin with hinges and a good size for display. It features the horse "Dan Patch", a stallion who was undefeated in harness racing in the very early 1900's. The top, front and back of the tin show the handsome pacer harnessed to a sulky with a driver at the reins. The top reads that this tin came from Scotten, Dillon Co. in Detroit. On one end it lists the factory as, Factory No. 1 1st District of Michigan. We believe it dates some time between 1900-1910. It is in very good antique condition with good paint and a glossy finish. There are some minor surface scratches and some discoloration on the inside (example last photo). There is a slight indent on the lid.  Please enjoy the photos for the best look and determination of condition.

Measurements are 6” end to end x 3 ¾” d. x 3” tall.
