war ab 1735 Bildhauer und Modelleur an der Porzellanmanufaktur Meißen.
Eberlein arbeitete mit JOHANN JOACHIM KÄNDLER (1706 - 1775) - seit 1731
Modelleur der Meissener Manufaktur - zusammen: Gemeinsam mit J. J. Kändler
und Johann Gottlieb Ehder schuf er zwischen 1737 und 1742 das
Schwanenservice mit mehr als 2200 Einzelstücken. Eberleins eigene Kreationen
zeigen klassische Gottheiten auf opulenten barocken Sockeln.
Das Modell 155 wurde im Jahre 1740 geschaffen.
SCHNEIDERSFRAU AUF ZIEGE
Seitlich auf einer Ziege sitzende Frau des Schneiders, das fest eingewickelte, auf ihrem Schoß
liegende Kind stillend. Auch das Tier führt ein
Junges mit sich, das kniend am Euter des
Muttertieres saugt.
Die Gruppe wird durch einen Baumstumpf unterhalb der
Ziege gestützt und basiert auf einem abgerundeten
Rechtecksockel mit Wiesendekor und Goldrand.

DESIGNER:

worked as a sculptor and modeller at the Meissen
Porcelain Manufactory from 1735. Eberlein worked
with JOHANN JOACHIM KÄNDLER (1706 - 1775) - a
modeller at the Meissen manufactory since 1731:
Together with J. J. KÄNDLER and Johann Gottlieb
Ehder, he created the swan service with more than
2,200 individual items between 1737 and 1742.
Eberlein's own creations show classical deities on
opulent baroque plinths.
Model 155 was created in 1740.
TAILOR'S WIFE ON GOAT
The tailor's wife sitting sideways on a goat, breastfeeding the tightly wrapped
child lying on her lap. The animal also has a young with it, which kneels and sucks
on the udder of the mother animal.
The group is supported by a tree stump below the goat and is based on a rounded rectangular base with meadow decoration and gold rim.
