Peony River’s exquisite beauty is hard to capture in photos.  The jacquard weave used best quality silk yarn. Seemingly one color, the yarns are actually dyed into several hues before getting on the loom.

The weight and texture is slightly leathery—-with the high sheen of satin and low sheen of matte.  The end result is a rich and exquisite jewel. The simple design opted for winding river rather than straight stripes. The flowers can be peony, or lotus, or water lily.

It reminds one of Elizabeth Sonrel’s Water Lily.
