Fuzz Face Silicon Kit - PCB Replica of the Original early 70s Silicon NPN Fuzz Face + Components including Genuine BC108 Transistors

Genuine reproduction of the early 1970s Silicon Fuzz Face board.  The component types have been chosen to closely match the originals.

The kit is as per the photo.

The resistors are carbon film which are a good substitute for the carbon composite resistors found on the originals. 

The Transistors are a matched pair of genuine BC108, selected for a gain of around 400, which is considered to be ideal for the early 70s Hendrix / David Gilmour style Fuzz sound.

The yellow capacitor is a New Old Stock capacitor equivalent to the original yellow chicklet capacitor.

The electrolytic capacitors are new and sourced from reputable western suppliers (the Chinese copies of the original philips capacitors are way off their specified value so I have avoided these) 

Board dimensions are 62mm x 40mm, holes centres are 49mm apart.

The board is a modern reproduction of the original with the same layout and the same size.  The mounting holes can be filed out to fit some of the different variations of the original Fuzz Face case.  The pads are pre-coated with a thin layer of solder and are really easy to solder to.  The tracks are coated with a thin layer of epoxy at the factory so will not corrode.

I will include basic wiring diagrams but not full instructions, it is assumed that the buyer will have knowledge on how to build the kit from the parts supplied and information found on the web (there is a lot info out there on these!).

You will need to find suitable parts including knobs, sockets, footswitch and case to complete the kit.
