How is it different? HiPP HA Stage 2 utilizes a process called hydrolysis to break down the long-chain milk proteins, excluding casein from cow's milk. This results in smaller whey proteins that are easier to digest and reduces the risk of allergic reactions to naturally occurring allergenic ingredients in milk. Despite the hydrolysis process, this formula maintains a thicker consistency compared to other hydrolyzed formulas, even without the addition of starch. Since HiPP HA Stage 2 is based on cow's milk, it contains lactose, similar to breast milk. This all-natural formula naturally contains omega-3 and omega-6 long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids, including AA and DHA, which are essential for the development of brain and eye tissue.
