Saves your camera battery life (if your camera has GPS) by using a dedicated external GPS receiver like this one.

Easy to use:
1. set on your camera menus to use "external GPS"
2. either wear it on your belt, or slide it in the camera flash shoe.

Can switch "OFF" GPS easily (1 second):
(for security reason or just to save battery).

Uses 1x regular AA battery (not included, per eBay shipping policy)
Does not use much power.  One battery can last a long time.

Nice working condition.

See video clip (switching to "ON")

Cosmetically also in nice and clean condition. See all pictures

Made in Japan

-------------- Q: why new Canon cameras don't have GPS receiver built-in ? ----------------
A:  Because the GPS feature is a power hog. It consumes a lot of battery. New mirrorless cameras are power hogs too.  So Canon removed GPS from new cameras, and this GP-E2 unit is not only useful but essential to have !
