Antique George Baxter "Landing of Columbus" Color Oil Print 1840.

George Baxter was an English artist born on the year of 1804. Color printing was not considered commercially viable until 19th century where artist named George Savage revived the color print and Baxter continued the job. Baxter already had many experience with art during his earlier days where he helped his father by writing illustration books. Due to time required for each of his work and his unrecognition during his time, his business never prospered and he unfortunately passed away on the year of 1867. However, his works live on.
