Up for sale is this unique and antique Austrian bronze figurine / statue sculpture of a young man kneeling down on one knee and proudly picking a bunch of grapes from the branchy vine next to him.

He is wearing period attire that seems to be from the 19th C. Tons of fine detail throughout with his face, clothes, and even the grapes very well sculpted. The figural statue has a large rectangular bronze base which is connected and the whole bronze is then mounted on a beautiful carved and polished onyx rectangular base.

Such a unique Austrian bronze with the top half of the male figure’s body connected to its bottom half with a screw mount. His body can pivot slightly and I believe this is exactly how the artist intended to create this sculpture.

I don’t see a signature or mark but it has all characteristics of an old Austrian piece and I believe dates to the late 19th / early 20th C.

In excellent overall condition. The onyx base has a couple small edge nicks but otherwise looks beautiful. The bronze is old and well-patinated without being cleaned - completely original!

Displays well from all angles as you can see!

Measures about 6.4” inches long, 6.5” inches tall, and 3.7” inches wide (16.3 cm, 16.5 cm, 9.4 cm).

Would make a fantastic display piece, fine addition to a collection, or a great gift!
