Up for sale is a VERY RARE Criterion 3-laserdisc boxed set in CAV standard play format and includes the following special features:

·  Extensive excerpts from the 1929 Universal film version, including songs from the rare prologue 

·  Excerpts from Ziegfeld's 1932 Broadway revival of "Show Boat"

·  "Life Aboard a Real Showboat," a short film from "Unusual Occupations" series documenting life aboard a showboat

·  Radio broadcasts from the Campbell Playhouse and Radio Hall of Fame versions of "Show Boat"
·  A visual essay including more than 300 photos tracing the phenomenon of showboats, and the history of the musical on stage, screen and radio

It is in the following condition:

Box top:  Only some edge discoloration and the right edge flap sticks out quite a bit; 1 split corner

Box bottom:  Only very light discoloration; no corner splits

Discs:  Only some discoloration but playback is unaffected

It includes the "Some important notes about..." letter from Jon Mulvaney from The Criterion Collection.
