Up for your consideration is this beautiful vintage Wilson A2000 XLC baseball glove. Made in Ohio, USA. The “EV” code stamp on the outside of the thumb (see photo) indicates manufacture in May 1982. (Wilson stopped making gloves in the USA soon after, in 1983).

The Wilson A2000 is a classic pitchers glove, with a large (approx. 12.5”) pattern, making it a softball favorite as well. Closed Dual Hinge web and a closed “Pro Back” fingerhole. USA made XLCs were used by countless MLB pitchers throughout the 1970s and 80s, including Mark “The Bird” Fidrych, Bruce Sutter, Jim “Catfish “ Hunter, Gaylord Perry, and Dave Stieb (see photos).

Condition is as shown in the photos of the glove alone, which depict the actual item you will receive.

Photo with baseball in the pocket is to show true scale (the baseball, a 1977 National League official game ball, is not included in this auction, but I will be listing it separately).
