Here we have a lovely project stove from the Art Deco period.

The stove was manufactured by the Arthur Martin Foundry in France.

The stove is relatively large in stature, with dimensions of:

668mm high

511mm wide

355mm deep

The enamel is a very dark brown, still very shiny, and will polish up nicely. There is significant damage to the enamel underneath the fuel loading lid, as per photos. This is most common with stoves of this age and design, as this area sees the most use. There are a few smaller blemishes in random places, but overall, the enamel is excellent for a stove of nearly 100 years in age.

The door catch, grate riddler, and two air control mechanisms all work as they should. The firebrick has a little bit of slag build up, but the bricks are perfectly serviceable.

There are only two essential tasks that need undertaking before use. The stove doesn't have an ash can with it. This can be simply fabricated by anyone with a little sheet metal experience. The other essen task is to fabricate a flue spigot, which would simply bolt to the three existing holes in the back of the stove.

Other than that, the stove will need new rope seals around the doors, and replacement of the window mica sheet, a very cheap process that will give you a clear viewing window.

A lovely stove in the correct setting, especially for anyone who is a fan of the Art Deco era.

A difficult stove to price, so I am open to sensible offers.

Please note that the item is collection only.
