WIENER BRONZE - COWBOY AUF PFERD
Cowboy in typischer Arbeitskleidung - Hemd, weite Hosen, Halstuch und Cowboy-Hut
- auf buckelndem Pferd, das hoch über dem Kopf des Pferde wirbelnde Lasso am
Sattel befestigt und in der einen Hand festhaltend, die Zügel in der anderen.
Figur, Zaumzeug und Sattel farbig staffiert, die zwei Hinterhufe des Tieres mit
ovaler Plinthe verschraubt, Signatur 'C.Kauba' auf der Sockeloberseite hinter
dem Pferd.
Ausgezeichnete und detailreiche Qualität der Ausführung, sehr lebensechte
Darstellung, wie es für die Wiener Bronzekunst typisch ist.
DESIGN: CARL KAUBA (1865 - 1922)
war ein österreichischer Bildhauer und Kleinplastiker und bedeutender Vertreter der Wiener Bronzen. Mit seinen Darstellungen von Cowboys und Indianern
fertigte und exportierte er für den amerikanischen Markt des späten 19. und frühen 20. Jahrhunderts.

VIENNA BRONZE - COWBOY ON HORSE
Cowboy in typical work clothes - shirt, baggy pants, bandana and cowboy hat - on bucking horse,
holding in one hand the lasso attached to saddle and twirling high above the horse's head, the reins in the other.
Figure, bridle and saddle painted in colour, the animal's two hind hooves screwed to an oval plinth,
signature 'C.Kauba' on the top of the base behind the horse.
Excellent and detailed quality of the composition, very lifelike representation,
as is typical for Viennese bronze art.
DESIGN: CARL KAUBA (1865 - 1922)
was an Austrian sculptor and small plastic artist and important representative of the Viennese bronzes. With his depictions of cowboys and Indians, he manufactured and exported for
the American market in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
