Before installing your new regulator rectifier;

Check the AC output of the stator.
Replace any burned or corroded connectors on stator and regulator/rectifier
Check and repair any melted wiring.
Use hi-temp dielectric grease on all connectors.

How to distinguish CDI box with AC fired or CDI box with DC fired?
If headlights turn on without the engine running(with just the key on), it is a DC system. In the AC system, turning headlights on require the engine to be running. Another indication is, if the engine will only runs with a battery it is DC. If it will runs without a battery, it is a AC system.

What does the voltage regulator do?
This regulator has the task of converting the alternating voltage (AC) generated by the alternator into the direct voltage (DC) 12V used in the vehicle electrical system and keeping the voltage within a certain range.
The voltage regulator is also responsible for ensuring that the battery is charged and that the light bulbs do not burn out.

How do I know if the charge regulator can be defective?
- Incandescent lamps burn out all the time.
- Headlights get brighter and darker.
- The battery is constantly empty.

Wie unterscheidet man CDI-Box mit AC-Feuerung oder CDI-Box mit DC-Feuerung?
Wenn sich die Scheinwerfer einschalten, ohne dass der Motor läuft (nur mit eingeschaltetem Schlüssel), handelt es sich um ein Gleichstromsystem. Im AC-System erfordert das Einschalten der Scheinwerfer einen laufenden Motor. Ein weiterer Hinweis ist, wenn der Motor nur mit einer Batterie läuft, handelt es sich um Gleichstrom. Wenn es ohne Batterie läuft, handelt es sich um ein AC-System.

Was macht der Spannungsregler?
Dieser Regler hat die Aufgabe, die von der Lichtmaschine erzeugte Wechselspannung (AC) in die im Bordnetz verwendete Gleichspannung (DC) 12V umzuwandeln und die Spannung in einem bestimmten Bereich zu halten.
Der Spannungsregler ist auch dafür verantwortlich, dass die Batterie geladen wird und die Glühbirnen nicht durchbrennen.

Woher weiß ich, ob der Laderegler defekt sein kann?
- Glühlampen brennen ständig durch.
- Scheinwerfer werden heller und dunkler.
- Der Akku ist ständig leer.
