Offering a vibrantly colorful wool antique Afghani made camel saddle blanket.  Likely made at the end of the 19th century, acquired in the 20's by a collector according to family lore.  It is 19" wide and 54" long not including the tassels.  The blanket is actually 3 pieces sewn together, creating two large pockets at each end.  The pieces were woven wool and the pieces sewn in to make pockets have a shallow rug-like nap.

I see one small moth hole in the center section.  Some of the tassels are missing as is some of the stitching at either end. Stored in a percale pillowcase, clean, no odor. Please enlarge the photos to see the details.

This piece was acquired at an estate sale about 20 years ago.
