"The Father of American music, " and composer of songs such as
"Old Black Joe, " "My Old Kentucky Home, " and "Old
Folks at Home." In addition to the biography of young Foster, this book
contains a number of musical scores with words to some of his best-loved songs.
Decorated end papers and printed paper covers with Mary Greenwalt illustrations
on the front and rear, with orange cloth spine.
This is a nice tight and unmarked book with no interior or
exterior markings, no owner names, and no bookplates. Covers do show toning and
