Musikant in aufwendiger Rokoko-Kleidung: ärmelloser Gehrock über Rüschenhemd,
Kniehosen mit loser Bauchbinde, Strümpfe und Schnallenschuhe, auf dem zum Zopf zusammen gebundenen Haar ein
Hut mit zum Spitz hochgebogener Krempe, ein Bein vor das andere stellend und auf
der Laute spielend
Die Figur wird von hinten durch einen Baumstamm gestützt und basiert auf
rundlichem Natursockel mit goldgehöhtem Rocailledekor.

großartiges Meisterwerk der deutschen Porzellankunst, aus 16 Figuren bestehend.
Durch die bezaubernde Erscheinung der Figuren ist sie eine der schönsten jemals
produzierten Meissen-Serien: Es handelt sich um eine wunderschöne
Reflexion des 18.Jahrhunderts - einer Epoche, in der Musik eine sehr bedeutende
Rolle spielte, das Jahrhundert, in welchem die Dresdener
Oper im Jahre 1719 gegründet wurde.

LUTE PLAYER
Musician in
elaborate rococo dress: sleeveless frock coat over frilled shirt, breeches with loose
belly band, stockings and buckled shoes, on the tied long hair a hat with brim
bent up to a point, putting one leg in front of the other and playing the lute.
The figure is supported from behind by a tree trunk and is based on roundish natural
base with gold heightened rocaille decoration.
MEISSEN GALLANT ORCHESTRA:
A
great masterpiece of German porcelain art, consisting of 16 figures. Due to the
enchanting appearance of the figures, it is one of the most beautiful Meissen
series ever produced: It is a wonderful reflection of the 18th century - an era
in which music played a very important role / for example, it is the century in
which the Dresden Opera was founded in 1719.
