Grade A - USED (Very Good Condition)

- Lightly used.

- No sign of damage

- No scatter / ballast / glue

- No paint / rust.

- May have signs of light use.

Grade B - USED (Good Condition)

- Signs of use

- No sign of damage.

- Will have been cleaned, but

- May have odd speck of scatter/ballast remnant.

- May have odd speck of paint / glue / very minor rust speck.

- Some track pin holes may be enlarged.

-Signs of medium use, some black marks to rails.

Grade C - USED (Fair Condition)

- Signs of heavy use.

- Rails will be intact, and useable, and secure to plastic sleepers, but some plastic sleepers may be slightly damaged, or missing.

The track will have been surface cleaned, but clear evidence of signs of ageing / wear.

- Possible scatter / ballast, glue, paint marks.

- Possible rust specks.

- Black marks to rails.

- Several track pin holes may be enlarged/damaged.

Other Grade/s

Occasionally we acquire track that does not meet our Grade C requirements.  This may be due to the track having very heavy use, excessive evidence of black marks / debris / rust, and requires cleaning or rubbing down. We consider this type of track to be a specialist purchase for enthusiasts as it would largely be unsuitable for mainstream purchase.

Track of this nature is usually sold in mixed bundles and clearly described in both photos and written description.
