We choose to work with lodgepole pine as it grows naturally in the forests of NW montana and is known for its superior strength to weight ratio. It is also straighter, thus making it easier to work the raw wood into the highest quality furniture possible. Our lodge pole pine is harvested in the Kootenai National Forest via a very selective process. Skilled woodsmen select each tree with an attentive eye toward the quality, straightness and size of each specimen. After felling, each piece is hand carried to the road to ensure both the tree and the environment remain unharmed. Then each log is hand peeled, using the skip-peel method where some of the inner bark is left on, creating a beautiful rustic piece of furniture for your home, lodge or cabin.
We would love to help you get the best prices possible on any of our furniture... please visit our "ABOUT" page for more info on how we might be able to do that!
