I bought this from a man who worked in the 1980's installing power lines in Saudi Arabia. The story goes that he was exploring the country side on one of his days off and he happened upon an abandoned village. He said it looked like everyone just got up and left. He collected many items and brought them back to the United States. This water jug is one of the items he found.
- Antique water jug
- Tinned copper-metal
- Approx. 11" x 7"
- Circa 1890-1920
- Traditional Arabic water vessel/jug, Ewer shape
- Interesting construction on the bottom, looks like tongue & groove metal
- The ring at the top is to attach a lid that is missing
- An on-line appraisal gave it a Fair Market Value of $300
