This rustic farmhouse style bench is a great addition to any room where extra seating is needed. .  We use lodge pole pine for all of our furniture as it is a locally harvested pine, and the straightness and strength of the wood makes it a great choice in building furniture. Mortise and tenon joinery makes for a nice sturdy bench as well.  (The solid wood timbers and accessory trim pieces on this piece are rough sawn, for a look uniquely reminiscent of the timber-framed homes once found on the American frontier..)


  A great plus with any of our rustic log furniture is that any nicks or scratches can easily be covered with a little sandpaper and a dab of whatever finish you choose to finish the stand with. Or simple let the nicks and dents add extra character.  This is a solid piece of amish made furniture that will not disappoint.
