I bought this from a man who worked in the 1980's installing power lines in Saudi Arabia. The story goes that he was exploring the country side on one of his days off and he happened upon an abandoned village. He said it looked like everyone just got up and left. He collected many items and brought them back to the United States. This dallah is one of the items he found.
- Approx. 10 1/2" height
- Very simple design of three rings on the lid and the maker mark on the side.
- Guessing that it is brass and copper but not sure
- There is also has what looks like a maker's mark (see pics)
- Many of the other items found were thought to be from 1890-1920 but I don't know for sure when this was made.
