The GekkoScience R909 Pod Miner is an evolution of the proven and efficient USB stick miner, the Gekkoscience Compac F. The R909 is equipped with six Bitmain BM1397 ASICs (also used in the well-known Bitmain S17) and built using a 7nm process, allowing it to achieve a performance of 1.6-2.1 TH/s Hash Rate.

Users can adjust the clock rate and core voltage, enabling the miner to reach up to 2.1 TH/s under tuned conditions.

The miner features a USB port for connecting to an external controller, such as a Raspberry Pi or a PC running Linux, Windows, or Mac OS. Better still, the GekkoScience SmartHub (shown in the main pic' - not included in this listing)

The enhanced CGMiner Software (open source) offers features appealing to tuning enthusiasts, including a new API that allows clock frequency adjustment for each ASIC in multi-ASIC miners like the R909.

Newly developed heat sinks and an aluminum housing improve heat dissipation and stability.

The Terminus R909 requires an external controller with the cgminer software and a USB connection to the miner (USB cable included). It has been thoroughly tested on Linux PCs and Raspberry Pi. Like its predecessors, the miner operates on 12V, powered either by a standard 2.1/5.5mm barrel plug (rated at 7.5A) or a 6-pin PCIe socket.

The default clock rate is set conservatively at 400 MHz, yielding a hash rate of between 1.5 and 1.6 TH/S. Higher frequencies are achievable with the included PSU. 

The core voltage is adjustable betwreen 1.4V to 1.6V per chip, similar to the Compac F.

This model also features upgraded LEDs, with a blink rate proportional to the hash rate and a base light color of pink-magenta.

The BM1397 chips have a significant temperature coefficient, drawing more current as they warm up. Enthusiasts can replace the stock fan with more powerful ones. Enhanced airflow can reduce power consumption by 5-10% due to lower temperatures. These units accept a standard 80mm x 25mm 3/4-wire 12V case fan.
