A very rare George Jones Crescent China Queen’s Carnation pattern trio – cup, saucer and tea plate.
The cups are fluted-quatrefoil in shape and all pieces are decorated with pink carnations.
All pieces are fluted and the plate and saucer have gently scalloped edges.
Gilt trimmed edges to all pieces and the cup has gilt trimmed foot and handle.
The tea plate measures 15cm in diameter;
the saucer measures 13.5cm in diameter; the cup is 6cm tall.
Back stamp GJ & Sons – Crescent China – England hand painted pattern number 20620.
In very good condition with minor wear in keeping with age and use;
no cracks, chips or crazing; minimal gilt loss.
some light surface scratches from cutlery use.

'Crescent' was registered as a trademark from that date.
When George Jones (elder) died in 1893 - the business continued under the name 'George Jones & Sons'.
Crescent China trade name ceased around 1951.
The backstamps on the cup & saucer you will receive might be slightly different 
from the ones in the picture as, to save time, I have recycled my previous listing to sell this next trio.
