NOTE: Cherub made these in sizes upto 22” However, in the latter years they revised the actual physical sizes by about one size in the latter years of manufacture so that a “new size 20” would be the size of an older production size 22. I have measured these against an older production size 22” and they are almost identical in all measurements.

There are many who will mourn the passing of good quality school knickers of classic style made from the 60's right through until the early 1990's.

These knickers are Genuine Cherubs made at the Cherub factory in Leicester England. The dating of these vintage classics are difficult but likely made in the 1980's or very early 1990's (manufacture of these knickers ceased in 1992 so they are at least 25 years old)

They sport a strong but very stretchy tunnel elasticated waist and the classic straight double back panel “gusset to rear waist” style much favoured in the heyday of school knickers and favoured by generations of schoolgirls for the quality, comfort and wear.

These knickers have a ribbed gently elasticated cuff leg.

AS THESE ARE VERY RARE PRODUCT AND IN A LARGER SIZE THEY ARE PRICED ACCORDINGLY

These knickers are a full cut brief in a delightful school uniform deep navy blue colour, and will give literally a lifetime of service if treated correctly. Both the waist and leg elastics are delightfully firm but very stretchy giving the necessary firm but comfortable grip at both waist and legs.

They have the classic 1960's style double gusset going from the crotch, through the legs and all the way upto the waist at the rear of the garment.

This pair is the classic scarlet/red colour, 20 inch tag but they are extremely stretchy and will fit to a MINIMUM waist of 34 inches easily upto 38 inch waist or A UK women's sizes 16 to 20 (approx).

They measure :-

Waist (unstretched) : 20 inches

Waist (Comfortably stretched) : 32 - 36 inches

Waist (Fully stretched) : 38 inches

Depth (waistband to crotch) : 14 inches laid flat

Depth (sides waist to leg) : 10 inches

Cuff Leg approximately 1” wide

Legs (Comfortably stretched) approx 22 - 25 Inches

Legs (fully Stretched) approx 26 Inches.
