10 Art Nouveau Style Tubeline Tiles

 Each tile measure 6” x 6” square

Fits most original and reproduction Victorian and Edwardian fireplaces.

Tube lining is a method of decorating glazed items developed in the late 19th Century and used extensively during the Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau periods.

A bead of slip is piped by hand onto the tile surface to form the outline of each design. Different coloured translucent glazes are then flooded into each area, the depth of glaze can be clearly seen by the varying shades of each colour. As with original tubeline tiles and due to the thickness of the glaze, cracks often appear on the face of the tile. This is perfectly normal and gives the reproduction tile an authentic look.

Postage is FREE to most of mainland UK excluding Scottish Highlands, islands and other remote areas. Delivery to these other areas is at cost.
