Teapots Through the Ages, Merchant Stall Large Teapot

This gorgeous retired limited edition teapot has so much going on and it's crazy! Done by Paul Cardew and made in England. This piece is numbered 989 /5000 and was made in (July) 7-99 (written in gold on the bottom). It appears that it was tagged and put on a shelf in December of 1999 for the first time. This is signed P Cardew and both the signature and numbering are done in gold. It does still have it's original tags on the base.

Condition-

As a whole, this teapot is good overall condition. The damages noted are on the mid-level far right teapot in a mustard yellow color that is missing it's handle and the top back teapot in blue and white willow design is missing a handle. There is some general crazing throughout the piece, sometimes common with age and I don't notice any other chips or damage. I have tried to photograph everything from different lighting and angles so you can see the entire piece. With so much going on, it is probably not the most noticeable damage but, I try my best to do full disclosure. This is a chance to own one of these rarer teapots for a fraction of what they usually sell for. Generally I try to not buy things with damage but this was fantastic enough and rare enough that I had to do it!

About me:

I graduated with a Bachelor's in Interior Design in '97. I worked in the field for 20 years successfully until having twins with medical issues. This necessitated my transition to a different kind of work and staying home with them. Recently, I have reignited my passion for design with my (mostly) vintage and antiques eBay business. I'm very small but I get to handle all aspects and make sure my customers are happy. I find it very fulfilling to find hidden treasures for others to enjoy! In a strange way, it keeps me in touch with my design roots and helps make a little money to participate in paying bills for my family. Thank you so much for looking and for your purchase, I really appreciate you!
