Reclaimed Antique Victorian / Edwardian Left Hand Rim Lock, Keeper & 2 Keyhole Covers, No Key.

This lock was from the main entrance door of a farmhouse built in the early 1900s on the site of a previous Georgian property destroyed by fire. The lock was removed during renovations in the 1990s, it was in use at that time, but has been stored in a box in the garage since being removed, and the keys are no longer present.

Currently the latch is operating, I cannot say if the locking mechanism is still operational.

It comes with the original keeper box, this has some brass detailing, and two Brass keyhole covers.

The lock measures 72 x 52 x 12 and the door edge overlap is 1.23". The keeper box is 4 7/8" x 1 3/8" x 1".

The whole lot weighs 1.24kg.

There is many years of paint, most of which has been removed from the lock but there is still more work to do.

Great restoration and refurbishment project.

International buyers please note:

It has recently come to my attention that although all of my listings are available through eBay Global Shipping Program, some items are appearing in the buyer’s location as “Seller does not ship to this country”. This is apparently due to regulations imposed by Pitney Bowes at the Global Shipping Centre, where items listed in some categories are not allowed to be shipped to the country of destination. This information is not available anywhere on eBay and customer service staff have no knowledge of this, also these categories are constantly changing. The issue can usually be overcome by tweaking the listing to adjust the category or title or other details, the item will then be available to purchase and ship. If you encounter a problem like this on one of my listings, please message me though eBay and I will try to resolve the issue.
