MODIFIED MODEL CAR GROUP MCG 1:18 DIE CAST FORD ESCORT Mk1 RS2000 (18386) - RHD

This model was brand new when it was removed from its original box and very carefully dismantled ready for detailing and modifications.

EXTERIOR:

The original paint has been detailed and ceramic coated so it now looks much better than when it left the factory.

A tax disc and dealer window decals have been applied. Two pairs of custom made classic car number plates are included free of charge too ... all of which are era correct to this model.

INTERIOR:

The interior is completely standard with wood effect refinements and a 6-pod instrument cluster. This model is right hand drive.

CHASSIS / WHEELS:

The original plastic wheels have been replaced with real aluminium Superlites and real rubber tyres. The wheel inserts have been painted gloss white with chrome wheel nuts and RS centre cap decals. I have taken the time to install the new alloy wheels properly. They are NOT glued like most other modified models you see for sale. Instead, the rims have been precisely machined and mounted on custom made threaded metal axles which are static so the model doesn't roll around which helps to avoid damage when displayed.

BRAKES:

The front disc brakes are the originals and have been modified to fit behind the new alloy wheels. The calipers have been painted and colour coded blue.

The original rear discs have been removed and replaced with custom made drum brakes. The Mk.1 RS2000 was never equipped with rear disc brakes so this model is now correct.

SUSPENSION:

The suspension has been lowered.

This model is a one off which is not available to buy in the shops and I'm certain the buyer will be very pleased.
