WRT1900ACS Dual-Band Wi-Fi Router with Ultra-Fast 1.6 GHz CPU.

The Linksys WRT1900ACS Dual-Band Wi-Fi Router with Ultra-Fast 1.6 GHz CPU is a simultaneous dual-band 3 x 3 Gigabit router with one USB 2.0 / External Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (eSATA) combo port and one USB 3.0 port that supports a maximum speed of 600 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band and up to 1.3 Gbps on the 5 GHz band. 

The Linksys WRT1900ACS can create four simultaneous yet separate Wi-Fi:

• The 2.4 GHz network caters to devices in your network that use 802.11b, 802.11g, and 802.11n technologies.  This network can be used to connect your wireless devices to surf the internet, to share files, and to print.

NOTE:  The maximum speed that your devices can achieve with an 802.11n adapter on the 2.4 GHz band is up to 600 Mbps.

 

• The 5 GHz network works best on devices that use 802.11a, 802.11n, and 802.11ac technologies.  This network is ideal for heavy applications including Voice over IP (VoIP) calls, online gaming, and streaming high-definition videos.

NOTE:  The Mixed mode will still allow backward compatibility to 802.11a devices. 

 

• The 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz guest networks.  These additional Wi-Fi networks allow your guests to have access to the internet but not on your local network and devices connected to it such as shared storage and printers.
