According to the context, the typology of the tool and the weathering of the material, this piece dates back to the second half of the Mousterian period. 

Tool: beautiful Mousterian bifacial circular scraper on core (nucleus) made by our ancestor Homo Neanderthalensis. 

Marks of use on the active sharp parts. Very beautiful material.

This very nice piece is from an ancient French family collection. It has been found beforethe 1960's.
