This belonged to my late father in law who passed away back in 1966. It sat on his desk at home for many years as I have seen it in a few photos of him. His occupation allowed him to travel the world and was possibly gifted to him as he was often presented with souvenirs from business associates.

Please refer to photo six where I have highlighted some slight wear to the surface. It’s not chipped just worn from age and, no doubt, lots of use.

I can’t be sure the lighter works as it has no fluid or flint as far as I can see. It is an authentic piece of Japanese wear and would be suitable for any collector of smoking accessories or Japanese pieces. It measures approximately 15 cms x 11 cms.
