Girth measurement: Wrap the tape measure around the broadest part of the dog's rib cage behind the front legs.

When adjusting the harness on your dog, for optimal fit, ensure that there is enough space for two fingers to easily slide between the harness and your dog's chest.

Note:  These Coastal harnesses come either as Coastal or Pet Attire harnesses.  Our inventory is comprised of both, and we have identified which is listed by Label. They function the same, look the same, and have the same features and item numbers. The only difference is the patterns - the Coastal named harnesses use a ribbon overlay stitched on top of the material while the Pet Attire named harness patterns are direct into the material.  The Coastal named harness will be very slightly thicker as a result.  We have used both and do not notice any difference between them.
