Vintage and very rare Orange GRO-100 Pics only Guitar Amp.

In excellent working condition. Recently serviced by Sheffield Tube Amp expert Mike Aitken.

I bought this around 20 years ago and it has never been used or outside the home except to be serviced.

These are the very first Orange Amp heads after the original Matamp heads.
Made in London. Serial number is 541 which dates it early 1970's. I believe it to be between 1970 and 1972 production.

The amp was bought new and used by the British Folk Blues band Brett Marvin and the Thunderbolts. They recorded their first album in Orange Studios, London and bought Orange equipment not long after. This was confirmed recently by a member of the band, who also confirmed that the stencilling was their then Roadies work. The band continue to gig in the South East. They famously supported Derek and the Dominoes on their UK tour in September and October 1970.

A very rare amp with an interesting history.

Collection only, from a smoke free home.
