Coin as used as set decoration in the film, The Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. The making and using of the pirate treasure is discussed at length in the behind the scenes bonus footage, The Making of an Epic at Sea. This can be seen on YouTube. About twelve minutes in Larry Dias, Set Decorator, discusses the treasure cave as well as Derek R. Hill, Supervising Art Director, who talks specifically about the coins that they dump in the treasure room. They also discuss the rocks that they painted to look like gold nuggets for which we also occasionally sell. Photos included here are screen captured from this behind the scenes video.

Coin color varies. Some are a darker orange gold color and some are a lighter gold color. Photo is an example of the kind of coin you will receive but not the exact one. Item comes beautifully displayed in an acrylic stand featuring some of the main cast from the film. Also comes with one of our beautifully designed and custom made Certificate of Authenticity Cards. We also have a letter of authenticity detailing how we acquired all of our assets at the Logos Theatre if interested. Please request the letter if desired. Not included otherwise.

We took a break for a bit from selling out POTC memorabilia due to work demands at our theatre, but we will try to relist a bit of what we still have from time to time. We have sold soldier coats, gold nuggets, and coins over the last couple years. There is not much left now but a few things will get posted for sale over the next few weeks hopefully.

This opportunity is being presented in an effort to raise funds to put towards a special project at the Logos Theatre, a professional stage production ministry and Christian Dramatic Arts College. Our movie assets will only be available for as long as we have inventory and are still needing funds for our special project. After which the remainder will return to our museum archives.

Please do not inquire as to what else we have. Just keep an eye on our listings and set eBay notifications! We are a very busy professional theatre operation and don’t really have free time for general inquiries.
