Felix Nikolaus Alexander Georg Graf Luckner (b. June 9, 1881, Dresden; d. April 13, 1966, Malmö, buried in Hamburg)

Signed and dedicated by Felix Count Luckner (aka Felix von Luckner) in Hastings, NE on November 28, 1929:
     "Tommy my dear little friend never say die by Joe -- See [?] remembrance of the wonder-ful thanksgiving dinner with your dear parents and friends"

Sometimes called Count Luckner in English, [he] was a German nobleman, naval officer, author, and sailor [known as The Sea Devil]... Luckner became a war hero in Germany and was renowned around the world for his seamanship and chivalrous conduct during the war (from en.wikipedia.org).

Inside the folio is the Thanksgiving Proclamation by Governor Arthur J. Weaver and the Menu for Thankgiving. The Hotel Clarke was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. According to en.wikipedia.org, in that year the building became "the Kensington-Evergreen Senior Living Communities" [see vintage postcard image in last photo for reference].
