Vintage Ikebana Suiban Art Pottery Vase Signed Bowl Abstract Green White. It is approximately 12 inches in length and 10 inches in width.

This is a beautiful freeform container vessel in the suiban style. It has a very organic, natural feel to it in both color and shape.  It has beautiful shades of green and white glaze. The bottom of it seems to have pressed images of a leaf. It is signed on the back. Also, on the back are the fire marks from where the supports were placed when it was fired in the kiln.

This vase belonged to my mother. We lived in Japan in the 1970s, and my mother embraced the art of Ikebana. She practiced Ikebana for many years, and even served as the president of her local chapter.  She collected vases/ containers for many years.  I am now selling part of her collection,  so be sure to look at my other listings.
