Item: Very rare set of (8) vintage photos taken in Fresno County and the Sierra Nevadas of California in 1897.

They are pasted to a large album page (thick cardboard)

Side one:  Old man with boy riding a donkey. The Henderson and Brown families outside a home in Selma, CA. A large group of people at the Sentinel Redwood Tree in the Sierras. I posted a map showing the location of this tree. It says they were on their way to Camp Laurel. There is a Laurel Lake in the Sierras, but I could not find any record of a Camp Laurel. Last photo months side is of a little unknown girl.

Side Two: A horse in a pen, a railroad tressel bridge over the San Joaquin river.  A man next to his orchard. A 22 donkey team pulling a wheat thresher.
