This fire poker and rake are around 900mm long and are made out of 12mm square bar. They are made of mild steel and finished in a coating of linseed oil. They come with 2 hooks for hanging.

Hand made by myself in my small forge in the heart of the fens, Cambridgeshire.

Made from mild steel and sealed with linseed oil. Each piece is individually made, so slight variations will occur and show genuine tool marks from its creation.

If you need any alterations or variations of my work, or even just more of them than I have listed on Ebay, please contact me. I am always happy to work on commissions and make pieces to suit your requirements.

Blacksmithing is one of the oldest crafts, and it has been crucial to the evolution of man, civilization, and industrialisation. I can trace my family blacksmithing roots back to the 1600’s.

As a young boy I was fascinated watching my father, grandfather and uncles getting metal red hot and hitting it with cooler piece of metal on a stick whilst laying it on another heavy and oddly shaped piece of metal. The sound of the anvil and the smell of scorched leather are some of my earliest memories.

As a blacksmith, I produce different objects for daily use. Each piece is unique, no two are exactly the same and they have been created by myself from raw material using the same traditional skills from a time when things were made to last. They would not look out of place whether it be in medieval England or a modern rustic setting.
