Ideal size is 27 inches, but as you can see from the photos, you could certainly wear this if you are size 27 to 33 inches but the way this belt is designed the loop holes would show since the attachment was not made in the back like most of these hammered brass belts are. See last photo to understand what it would look like if worn by someone with a 32 inch waist or so.
