Still renowned as the best in the cinematography business, this classic example of British camera technology dates back to the late 19th century. I can't offer anything in the way of provenance but it comes from the collection of my late uncle who had a number of similar lenses and cameras in his possession. The serial number is 1549 making it one of their earlier manufactured items of the model. The brass body reveals numerous marks and scuffs and a dent with flaking paint around the ring, but the lens appear to be free from scratches, albeit dusty.
