Features: This fabric has a soft hand and feel to it. It has an excellent tear strength and very abrasion resistant. It is amazingly tough and versatile and extremely fire resistant. The properties that make this fabric Flame Resistant will not wash or wear out. This fabric will self extinguish and not melt or drip. This is Authentic Military Spec Camouflage Fabric purchased through a Military Auction.
What is Nomex®?? Nomex is an inherently FR fiber that does not burn or melt and drip, and its protective properties are permanent; they cannot be laundered out or worn away. When exposed to extreme heat during an arc flash or flash fire, Nomex swells and forms a char—giving the wearer critical protection and valuable extra seconds to escape. The protective char remains supple until it cools.
