Tudor hammered half groat (two pence), minted 1560-1561 by Martlet Mint, London, second issue. Reference and number is Spink 2557. Weight 0.9 grams.
The first picture is a copy of the advert when this was purchased by me in 2008. Pictures 2 and 3 are current ones taken by me today. The coin has laid untouched in a drawer since 2008.
These coins were hammered out of pure silver sheets and bear the head of Elizabeth I and the Tudor coat of arms. There is a little bit of flan damage but it has not been clipped, as so many have.
I operate a "no quibble" return policy with a full refund if you are not satisfied. Thank you for looking.
