This 1/6 scale action figure is a custom Vietnam Kitbash of a US Navy PBR Patrol Boat Riverine Skipper from 1968. The figure features a custom US Navy PBR patch on his uniform shirt and on his flak vest and comes with equipment used during the Vietnam War. The PBR riverine patrol boats have been depicted in films including “Apocalypse Now”. They started operations starting in 1966 and patrolled the rivers and coast of Vietnam for the rest of the war. These naval personnel interdicted the supply of arms and ammunition along the Vietnamese waterways. They also inserted and picked up US Navy SEALs on their missions in and out of enemy territory. The item is perfect for collectors of military memorabilia or fans of action figures. Display base NOT included.
