Item description:

Up for sale MABIE TODD SWAN 2060 model fountain pen. The pen is mint condition and looks like was never dipped before. I would list it as new, but didn't buy it from a store. It can fit as a valuable addition into any collection, and is a quality pen that will perfectly function, as a daily writer. The pen is in full perfect working and writing order. Fully inspected, cleaned, tested and ready to use.

Huge nib, serviced with new ink sac fitted. Great ink capacity. Jet black color, in the leverless flat top shape of the post war period, Triple gold filled cap bands and gold filled clip all in mint condition, magnificent huge #6 14ct SWAN ETERNAL gold nib, photographed near €1.00 EUR coin (not included on sale) to illustrate how big it is. After stored carefully for decades all what was needed to bring it back to life and work was replacing the old dried perished bladder. This pen is large to oversized fountain pen, and the model number usually shown at bottom of the barrel - is absent, but I have listed exactly the same pen with 2060 model number indicated near the button.

Don't have to read this paragraph (additional general information): In September 1940, due to a German bombing, the main production facility at Harlesden production stopped for a time until premises were found at Golden Lane, and enough equipment was scraped together to resume manufacturing though at a lesser rate. Despite this, it continued with 3 models, 0160 with n 2 nib, 1060 with n 4 nib, and 2060 with n 6 nib, the rarest of the three offered here. MABIE TODD SWAN 2060 (60 indicates black color). The 2060 had a short and constricted production run and is therefore comparatively uncommon. The legendary 2060 model was replaced in the late 40's by torpedo/cigar shaped 4660 model of the post war period. There are 2 models for the 4660: one pen is shorter in the barrel by approx. 0.6cm, has a No.6 stiff 'Eternal' nib and a 4660 imprint at the knob end. The other pen, with the longer barrel, has no 'Eternal' nib imprint on its No.6 nib and the fat, long barrel lacks any model no. imprint at any place. Length capped:140mm.

This pen was on top of the range, made in ENGLAND dates back to the early 40's, the later model 4660 can also be found among my listed fountain pens.

You are invited to take a look at my other items here some are rare and highly collectable.

The pen was fully inspected and new ink sac was fitted and is ready for enjoyable use with your favorite ink, for many more years. Because of the mint condition of the pen there was no need for cleaning, it was tested only with water.
