Boards have a little shelf wear and a few scuffs, with a surface tear to front of Vol.2, otherwise sound. Wear to top and foot of spines, with loss to top and foot of Vol.1 and top of Vol.2.
Feps appear slightly fresher than the text blocks, particularly vol.1, so possibly rebound. Preliminary pages are slightly toned, there is a little light foxing in places and very occasional marks, but overall interiors are very good, clean and tidy. There are ink signatures of a previous owner to the title page of vol.1 and half-title of vol.2. Both vols. have a couple of more recent notes in pencil to rear feps. Both bindings are firm.
